As a complete beginner I had the privilege to learn from Patrick for only a day. By the end I was able to dock our sailboat and do manoeuvres with more confidence. Patrick is an amazing instructor, with the ability to adapt to the student, very knowledgeable, patient and kind. I felt very safe all along. I highly recommend Patrick, he is an incredible instructor!

Patrick was the perfect sailing instructor for me and my family. He is able to explain everything in a theoretical level clearly and then reenforces that with immediate hands on demonstrations and practice. He is personable, openly invites questions and feedback and finds a good balance between correcting mistakes and allowing the student time to learn through doing. He was on our boat for 3 days and the whole experience was a pleasure.

I was quite fortunate to have Patrik as my instructor for both Learn to Sail and Competent Crew. He really made sailing make sense to me, as a total newbie who grew up completely landlocked. His explanations were clear and easy to understand and he often drew simple diagrams for me to explain the physics of it all. I continue to be in touch with and learn from Patrik. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a competent sail instructor who makes it easy to learn. Also, he inspires me with his true love of sailing. Patrik is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor. Our group had some very different personalities and levels of experience but Patrik made the experience enjoyable and gratifying for everyone. I would recommend Patrik wholeheartedly as a source of knowledge, experience, and feedback. I was fortunate to join an 8-day adventure sailing with Patrik in a group of five novice sailors without any prior exposure to sailing. We sailed to beautiful remote parts of Desolation Sound in British Columbia. Patrik was extremely proficient at managing the entire trip by himself without any external aid, striking the perfect balance between safety and adventure, finding an exciting route for our trip, and introducing us to the elements of sailing. Naturally some of us felt challenged by the new experience just before setting out for the trip, but it took only a few hours of Patrik's calm leadership to make us perfectly comfortable in the boat and its surroundings (including wakeboarding provided via our dingy raft). Feeling safe at all times, we formed a group of friends who two years later stay in touch and meet a few times a year. Patrik is a great skipper, instructor, manager and friend. I recommend him strongly.
