RYA Competent Crew sailing course

I have just completed the Ultimate sailing course. I now have my Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Powerboat Level 2 and VHF radio certification. The communication from the beginning has been outstanding, with all my questions answered and all the support during online theory, pre practical course. I have had probably the most amazing experience of my life. Everyone at the school is not only professional, highly skilled and knowledgeable but they are also very passionate and have huge enthusiasm for sailing, which for me made the experience so much richer. Want to shout out to Nikos, Valantina, Dave and Steve. Cannot thank you enough. I am so excited to sail now and in the future extend my skills with more courses .... I will be back for more.

tl;dr Choose Corfu Sea School! It's the best money I've splurged on myself. It is not possible for me to overstate my enjoyment of and appreciation for these two weeks I have spent with the Corfu Sea School and my instructor, Phil. With the online theory courses, I felt well-prepared for the practical portion at sea. The school's passion and professionalism is evident in their clean and well-maintained vessels and equipment and in the character of their instructors. Phil was patient and light-hearted, keeping us safe and offering guidance and correction with humor and encouragement. Under his tutelage, my hesitance and timidity quickly vanished giving way to confident knowledge and capability. I highly recommend Corfu Sea School, and I greatly look forward to coming back for more adventures and, eventually, higher sailing credentials.

Spent two weeks with Corfu Sea School doing my Competent Crew with Billy and Day Skipper with Roman and can say it was a faultless experience. Although challenging it was awesome experience and can't believe I learnt so much in such a small space of time. They know sailing inside out and will not falter even under endless novice questioning! Steve was great throughout the whole process dealing with admin side of things and also taking me through the VHF course. The Powerboat level 2 was a blast with Roman was also a blast!

I recently completed a motor sailing course at Corfu Sea School and I can’t recommend them highly enough. The level of professionalism and diligence shown by the instructor was outstanding from start to finish. They don’t just hand out certificates, you have to earn it, and that’s exactly what makes their training so valuable and respected. The instruction was clear, hands-on, and tailored to real-world scenarios, which gave me both confidence and competence on the water. If you're serious about learning the right way and want to truly deserve your certification, this is the place to go.

My wife and I did the combined course (comp crew, day skipper, powerboat level 2 and VHF) over a 2 week period (June 2025). It was intense and challenging but thoroughly enjoyable. Great instructors, highly recommend the school. Going back in September for the Coastal Skipper course
