The Sailing Network - Academy is a German based sail training center run by Johann Warkentin, an RYA certified Yachtmaster Instructor, with an operational base in Lavrio, Greece.
From our base - only 30 mins from Athens airport - we have the entire Aegean sea at our doorstep, with Cyclades or the Saronic Gulf being our very impressive training grouds, with perfect wind, sea and culinary conditions all year around!
We cruise, train and race on our SY "eXodus" - an X-46, a premium X-Yacht that is elegant, comfortable, fast and amazing in performance! "eXodus" was fully upgraded in 2025 and is equiped with all new electronics (incl. AIS, Radar, chart plotters, etc), heating, air conditioning, watermaker and modern sail plan including racing (North 3Di) and cruising sails, asymmetric and symmetric spinnakers, stormjib.
We train all levels from competent crew and day skipper, to coastal and offshore courses, as well as special courses for maneouvering, power handling, spinnakers, short handed sailing and catamaran skippering. In addition we conduct race trainings for coastal and offshore racing, and participate in various regattas as part of our training!
All our trainings are done by RYA certified instructors.
